thank you, when it comes to roses i only use super glue and spraycans, i mend the metal of empty spraycans and cut them into rose pieces. Its a 2 hour process from 2 to 3 empty cans to one double ended spraycan rose.... this photo has about 8 spraycan, the scraps i use for the larger spraycan hearts on canvas
thank you, well this one was a helmet for a game called killzone for the ps3 i found at a yard sale, i cut the base and someother bits that were there and repainted it and added the spraycans to the bottom it, I like to recycle any items i can find and see if i can give it a graffiti theme to it...
ayereternal - thanks for the words. I'm a big salvador dali fan and breaking or trying to challenge established protocol is fun. glad you liked the image….
This reminds me of my days visiting the Virgin Record Store in San Fran browsing through Fetish, Tattoo and Alternative magazines... It seems you've captured that essence with this shot...
ayereternal: thanks for the comments…they're much appreciated. I'm a vintage/retro type in my shoots…one maybe two lights max in a given project. i grew up in the heyday of vinyl album cover-art…so that is something that resinates more often than not in my work. the imagery from the late 1970s & 80s (with respect to rock/metal bands) was an interesting effort that tried to capture "raw" - much like they use to do in the 1930s-1940, which is my other favorite "photo" era. nevertheless, thanks again for the kind words
